By inaugurating “Diwan Al Madhalim” and the human rights advisory council, Our objective is not only to reinforce the existing institutions which assist Our Majesty in protecting the citizen’s rights, but also to provide the country with institutions devoted to tracking disorders and redressing possible abuses with respect to the citizen’s rights. These institutions, by putting forward practical suggestions, will be contributing greatly to the legislative, judiciary and administrative reforms underway.

The Council, in its initial composition, devoted its efforts to settling unresolved human rights issues. Now, with its new membership, and its forward-looking approach, it seeks to interact with a nation determined to build its future, a nation where We have vowed to work for the consecration of human rights.
